“The plans of the diligent lead surely to abundance, but everyone who is hasty comes only to poverty” (Proverbs 21:5). Perhaps due to a lack of hope, Tunisians are not well known for having a strong work ethic. God, we pray that those who follow Jesus in Tunisia will be characterized by an integrity and diligence in their work that stands out among the people.
Upon being asked why or when they decided to become a Muslim, Tunisians often don’t know how to respond and explain that their parents and grandparents were Muslims. They are simply raised Muslims without questioning, seeking, or verifying truth claims. Lord, raise up in Tunisia an honorable passion to pursue You, without any fear or shame of genuinely seeking the truth.
